The police in Ondo State have declared a man wanted for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old pupil in the Igbokoda area in Ilaje LGA.
City & Crime gathered that the suspect, who hails from Kebbi State, lured the girl into an uncompleted building while she was hawking puff puff and had carnal knowledge of her.
Joy Okuba, the guardian of the victim, told City & Crime that, “She returned from school and I sent her to hawk puff puff because we needed money for her school fees.
“She went out hawking but when it was getting late in the night I was worried. I told one of my sisters to assist me in checking the streets. At about 7pm, she came back home and I noticed her strange movements. I knew something was wrong with her. She looked exhausted. While she was trying to explain to me what happened, she collapsed and I rushed her to the hospital.”

She further said the girl was taken to the theatre and stitched due to the tear in her vagina.
She added that, “After the operation, she narrated to me how the guy raped her. I reported the case to the police.
“It was later we learnt that the guy ran away, and is in Kebbi State because we went to their seriki (leader) with the police.”
Funmilayo Odunlami, the police spokeswoman in the state, confirmed the incident, saying a manhunt had been launched for the suspect, especially in Kebbi State.
