Goals in the final ten minutes from Rashford and Garnacho took the wind right out of the sails of a Leeds side that were competitive from the off, but lacking in cutting edge.
The result lifts United up to second in the table for the first time this season, but leaves managerless Leeds looking nervously over their shoulders at the bottom three immediately beneath them
It keeps the pressure on United’s cross-town rivals Manchester City who play Aston Villa next, after Arsenal dropped points on Saturday.
