Man to sweep court premises for stealing perfume

A judge, Malam Ishaq Hassan, on Tuesday, ordered a 24-year-old man, Valentine Nmoye, to sweep the premises of the Karu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for three hours for stealing three brands of perfume worth N4,000.

Hassan gave the order and warned the accused to desist from the crime after he pleaded guilty.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Olarewaju Osho, told the court that the complainant, Sadiq Ahmed, of Tahalid Stores, Garki, Abuja, reported on November 3, that the accused entered his store and stole three bottles of perfume worth N4,000. (NAN)
