Man stripped naked over motorcycle theft

A man, Sunday evening, was stripped naked for allegedly stealing a new motorcycle at Zuma village.

The owner of the motorcycle parked it and went to observe his Asar prayers near Madalla, Niger State.

An eyewitness said the accused person, identified as Shehu was stripped naked at about 6:25pm, after he was traced by some motorcyclists at Madalla town, who were searching for the missing motorcycle.

The witness said the owner bought the motorcycle on the day it was stolen at Zuba, while the accused allegedly followed him to where he parked the motorcycle.

He said the accused was later rescued by some members of a vigilante group and taken to Madalla police station.

A police officer at the police station said the motorcycle was brought to the station but it was returned to the owner after he had shown his documents of ownership.

He said the accused would be charged when investigation was concluded.
