Man snatches neighbour’s car in Ibadan

A 27-year-old man, Jamiu Adeyanju, has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for snatching a Toyota Camry from his neighbour who gave him a free ride from Lagos to Ibadan, Oyo State, at gunpoint.

The command’s spokesman, Adewale Osifeso, who paraded the suspect, said that Adeyanju asked his neighbour, Adewole Tobi, to offer him a free ride to the toll gate area in Ibadan from Lagos, but that when they got to a desolate spot before Ibadan, the suspect brought out a gun and ordered Adewole Tobi park.

He said the suspect then forced his victim out of the car, fired into the air and escaped from the scene with the Toyota Camry, valued at N4m.

He added that the suspect also went away with his victim’s cell phones, driver’s licence and other valuables.
