Man slits own throat in Kano

A 50-year old businessman, Alhaji Ado Mai Siminit of Sheka quarters in Kano metropolis committed suicide on Tuesday when he slashed his own throat with a knife.

This is the third suicide incident in Kano in recent times, Daily Trust correspondent reports. The first occurred at Na’ibawa when a young man cut-off his own genitals and throat. The second incident took place at the Kano Abattoir when a man slitted his throat and died of his injury.

A witness said late Mai Siminti was hale and hearty when he came out from his house and headed to a meat seller shop where he committed suicide.
