Man sets sleeping wife ablaze

Although the reason for the act could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that there was a disagreement between the couple on Valentine’s Day over issues bordering on infidelity.
Sources said trouble later broke out at the couple’s home in Umuahiami Afara, Mbaitoli LGA of the state yesterday when the man’s in-laws from Ekwe community in Isu Njaba LGA  stormed Afara village for  revenge, destroying their son in-law’s house and property worth millions of naira. Police later quelled the violence.
Police spokesman, DSP Andrew Enwerem, said the man was in their custody and investigation had started on the matter.
