A magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of Femi Ogunwusi Alfred Felix, 38 years, at the correctional facility in Ado-Ekiti, over murder of a nine-month-old baby, Hercules Destiny Ogunwusi Femi.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Oriyomi Apata, told the court Monday that the defendant was reasonably suspected to have committed the offence of murder of the nine-month- old baby.

Apata said the offence, which was committed at Efon Always, Ado Ekiti, on the 18th of October, 2019, is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State 2012.
The prosecutor urged the court to grant his submission contained in the affidavit and remand the defendant pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Ekiti State.
The defendant was represented in court by Barrister O.J. Abiola, holding the brief of Barrister Gbenga Ariyibi.
The magistrate, S.O. Afunso, granted the order that Ogunwusi be remanded at the correctional facility in Ado-Ekiti and adjourned the matter until September 14, 2021.
