An Ilorin Magistrate Court has remanded one Laminu Arelu, who allegedly broke into the Ilorin residence of the APC senatorial candidate for next year’s election, Malam Saliu Mustapha.
The defendant (Arelu) was said to have trespassed into the residence of Mustapha who was a former national championship aspirant of the APC at night and stole the ram valued at N200,000.

According to the police report, a team of police officers led by ASP Godwin Takaino was patrolling along the Water View Area of Ilorin when they accosted one commercial motorcycle conveying the defendant with the ram.
Meanwhile, the security guard to Mustapha had reported that he discovered that one ram and three cows had been stolen from his principal’s residence.
Police investigation revealed that the defendant stole the ram and was unable to give a satisfactory account of himself and how he got the ram.
Magistrate M.A Abdulmalik who presided over the case ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned the case to August 24th, 2022.
