A magistrates’ court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has ordered the remand of a 25-year-old man, Hassan Namusa, for raping a housewife in Kaiama LGA of the state.
The prosecutor, Insp Issa Abubakar, told the court that, “The suspect accosted the victim, a housewife, and ordered her to lie down, pointing a gun at her and raped her in the process.”
He prayed the court to remand the suspect, noting that granting him bail would jeopardise investigation.
The Magistrate, Aminat Issa, ordered the remand of the suspect at a correctional facility and adjourned to July 14.
