A father, Chuks Johnson, in Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the FCT allegedly attempted to kill his daughter by mixing her tea with Sniper on Monday morning.
The incident, City & Crime gathered happened on Arab Road.

In a chat, the girl’s mother, Mrs Ruth Chuks, told our reporter that, “My daughter is having an affair with a guy who lives in the same area. Her elder sister earlier eloped with her lover to Kaduna. Now, my younger daughter who is seeking admission into a higher institution is also having a love affair.
“Her father provides her with whatever she asks for. He warned her not to talk with the guy, but she didn’t hear. That’s why he poured Snipper in her tea.
“I saw him when he went to get the Sniper but never knew his intention. She took a spoon from the tea and started reacting. I begged my husband to assist in rushing her to the hospital with his car. We rushed her to the hospital without involving our neighbours.”
She said it took the hospital several hours to resuscitate her daughter.
However, she said the matter had not been reported to the police.
