Man nabbed over N5m theft

Men of the Lagos State Task Force have arrested a 37-year-old man, Adeshola Abiodun, for allegedlly defrauding a man of N5 million estate development levy and generating a fake bank alert.

City & Crime gathered that the suspect, who claimed to be an agent with the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), collected the N5m from a developer with the promise of helping him to obtain estate development permit from LASPPPA.

The Chairman of the task force, CSP Shola Jejeloye, explkained that after collecting the money and generating a fake bank alert, the suspect went ahead to lavish the money on frivolities.
