Detectives attached to the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 26-year-old man, Adelaja Segun Moses, over the kidnap and murder of a Chinese expatriate in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
The 26-year-old suspect, who hails from Emure, in Ogun State, was arrested on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at about 2am, in Emuren Ogun State where he was hiding.

The detectives cornered the suspect during a sting operation, for his involvement in the kidnapping and killing of a Chinese national in February 2020.
Police said the suspect confessed to being a strong member of Aiye Confraternity.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect along with his cohort allegedly kidnapped the Chinese national at Okunowa, Ijebu, in Ogun State but kept the victim in their hideout at Otta-Agbowa Ikosi, Lagos State.
Adejobi said the suspect and others still at large eventually killed their captive and dumped his corpse in Agbowa-Ikosi river.
He said the corpse of the deceased Chinese has not been recovered till date.
“The suspect has confessed that other members of the gang have been arrested by the Intelligence Responses Team, IRT, Force Intelligence Bureau, Abuja,” he added.
