Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested three suspects after a mob lynched one John Aliu (25) in Auchi in Etsako West LGA after he was alleged to have entered a woman’s room.
The command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, when contacted, said investigation on the matter was ongoing and that three persons had been arrested over the killing.
Chidi explained that Auchi Division received information that one John Aliu was being mobbed on Winner Road, Auchi, for allegedly entering the room of one Precious Lucky and struggling with her.
He said the police mobilised to the scene and rescued him and rushed him to Dogho Hospital where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.

He added that the corpse was deposited at the Notre Dame Hospital, Jattu-Uzairue, for autopsy.
Chidi further said that the said Precious Lucky and two others were arrested in connection with the killing.
