Man loses N2.6m property to fire in FCT

An electronics dealer, Yusuf Tijjani, has lost property worth over N2.6 million to a fire which razed down his shop in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

Tijjani, who is popularly known as Babson, said that the incident happened on Saturday around 3am after he had closed from his shop located behind the motor pack in Kwali town.

He said he was asleep when someone called him that his container shop was on fire and that he rushed to the scene and discovered that all his property inside the shop had been consumed.

He further said that valuables such as new phones, generators, electronics, plastic chairs and handsets brought for repair got burnt.

Tijjani, who was a councillorship aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party (LP) in Kwali during the last council elections, appealed to the government and well-meaning individuals to come to his aid.
