He said a yet-to-be-identified person removed the bike where it was parked and zoomed off.

He said some residents who were at the drinking place, who identified the victim, tried to convey him to his house due to his condition after excessive drinking but could not locate his motorcycle.

He said, ‘’The man went to a popular drinking joint at Paso on Wednesday night with his brand-new Bajaj motorcycle he bought to celebrate Christmas and he got drunk.”

According to him, some relatives of the man who were later informed came and conveyed him home. He said the incident was reported to vigilantes in the area.

A vigilante, Gambo Saleh, who spoke with our reporter confirmed the incident, saying “This is what we keep telling people, especially those who go to drinking joints.”

He said a similar incident happened last week around the area when a man who went to drink lost his bike to thieves, adding that some vigilantes had been alerted in Zuba to keep eyes on suspicious bikes in the area.

The spokeswoman of the FCT police command, SP Adeh Josephine, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
