An Area Court in Jos on Wednesday sentenced Emmanuel Dashe, 26, to one month’s imprisonment for stealing decorative drape from the government house’s guest house.

The judge, Mr Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to theft and begged the court for leniency.

The judge gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine.

Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Insp. Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported at the Anglo Jos police station on Dec. 5, 2022 by Insp. Onuh Onoja attached to the guest house.
