Man jailed for spending money that turned to moringa

A Sharia Court in Kano State has sentenced a man, Muhammad Zaria, to six months in prison for defrauding a recharge card seller with money that turned into moringa leaves.

The prosecutor, Aliyu Abideen, told the court that the accused bought recharge cards worth N70,000 cash from the complainant, Abubakar Musa Danzaki, only for the money to turn to moringa leaves.

The Khadi, Nura Yusuf Ahmad, who found the defendant guilty, sentenced him to six months in a correctional facility without a fine option.
