A magistrates’ court in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, on Tuesday, sentenced a man, Isah Sani, to two months in prison for stealing yam seedlings worth N144,000.
The Magistrate, Jacinta Okeke, however, gave the covict an option of one month community service in the Gwagwalada market.

Earlier, the prosecuting counsel, Abdullahi Tanko, told the court that the complainant, Liasu Saidu, of Ukara village, Airport Road, Abuja, reported on May 9, that the defendant trespassed into his farm and uprooted yam seedlings valued at N144,000. (NAN)
