The suspect, who was identified as Chijioke Odunze, hails from Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State.
Daily Trust gathered that the suspect allegedly stole the eighteen-month-old baby from the mother’s kitchen.
Parading the suspect alongside three suspected kidnappers, who allegedly abducted one Cyril Echesi along Uli Ihiala in Anambra State, the commissioner, Abdulmajid Ali, said Chijioke and his men jumped over the fence to Mrs.Susan Odueze house to take away her baby.
He added that immediately the squad got information of the incident, they combed the bushes in the area and arrested Chijioke Odunze.
Speaking to newsmen, Chijioke said someone promised to pay him N350,000 if he could provide a baby.
