A man, Kingsley Ikechukwu, alias IK, went missing at Byazhin Across area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the FCT, after Sunday’s English Premier League clash between Manchester United and Arsenal.

City & Crime gathered that Ikechukwu, a staunch Arsenal supporter, had boasted that the Gunners (Arsenal) would defeat the Red Devils (Man U).

In the match, Marcus Rashford struck twice as Man U made it four wins in a row to end Arsenal’s perfect start to the season.

“Being a strong Arsenal supporter since the days of Arsène Wenger, he promised to get us drinks after the game, saying they would defeat Manchester United easily at Old Trafford,” a resident, Adeleye Tunde, said.

“We believe that after sometime IK would come back to us and we would still ask him for our drinks because a promise is a debt,” another resident, simply identified as Benson, said.

When our reporter visited the area on Monday, he was told that the matter had not been reported to the police as it was hoped that he would return home soon.
