A middle-aged man identified as a member of the Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State was yesterday electrocuted while trying to destroy the billboard of a governorship candidate in the state.
Daily Trust Saturday reports that the victim had climbed the poll at Challenge area in Ibadan without knowing that the billboard was connected to live wire close to the board.

Eyewitness said while the victim was struggling with the billboard, his colleagues fled the scene of the incident before the arrival of police officers.
Our correspondent reports that a video of the incident which has gone viral in Ibadan, the state capital, showed the victim lying down on the ground while passersby watched his lifeless body.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adewale Osifeso could not be reached as of time of filing this report.
