A 23-year-old man, Innocent Falodun, on Thursday appeared in an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court for allegedly burgling a house and stealing 32-inch Plasma television, computer and Nokia phone.

Falodun, whose address and occupation was not stated, is facing trial a four-count charge of burglary and stealing.
Falodun, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Prosecutor, Cpl. Mary Ajiteru, said that the accused committed the offences with others still at large sometime in January.
Ajiteru said Falodun, with his accomplices, committed the offences at 5B, Yakubu Str., Ijede Area of Ikorodu.

“They broke into a house and stole a 32-inch Plasma television worth N140,000.
“The gang of thieves also stole desk top computer worth N65,000 and a play station game valued N120,000,’’ she said.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened sections 409, 166(d), 305 and 348 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

The Magistrate, Bola Olagbegi-Adelabu, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,000 with one responsible surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case till Sept. 12 for mention.
