City and Crime gathered that the deceased, known for his shot temper and recalcitrant attitude to people, had a disagreement with one of his neighbours known as Wasiu.

“In the process, he reached for a knife and threatened to stab his opponent with it. But in the process, he cut himself in the lap.

“He lost a lot of blood and died shortly after he got to a hospital,” a resident of the area said.

When contacted, the spokeswoman of the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), confirmed the incident.

She said it was a case of suicide, adding however that the case was still under investigation.
