A 35-year-old man was found dead inside a diesel reservoir at Gaida Kuka Uku in Kumbotso LGA of Kano State.
The man was said to have been trapped while trying to fetch diesel; his corpse was seen alongside a jerry can inside the tank.

Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, disclosed this to newsmen on Monday.
He said although the cause of the death was uncertain, security operatives at the place said they could not identify the victim.
He said, “We received an emergency call at about 3am from one of our staff, Ibrahim Muktar-Bichi, and we sent our rescue team to the scene.
“The man entered inside the service antenna diesel reservoir tank with a yellow jerry can. The security staff claimed they didn’t know him. He was trapped and rescued unconscious but later died. His corpse has been handed over to the police.”
