The police in Lagos State have arrested a 43-year-old man, Ademola Oladimeji, for defiling his three daughters and beating up their mother when she confronted him.
The suspect, who resides in the Fadeyi area of Lagos, was arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court on Monday on a two-count charge of defilement and assault.

The Magistrate, A.O. Ajibade, who did not take Oladimeji’s plea, directed the police to send the case file to the state’s Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), ordered for his detention at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre and adjourned the case to March 2.
Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that Oladimeji committed the offences in 2021 in his residence at Fadeyi.
DSP Ajayi said the mother of the girls reported to the police that her husband had been defiling their daughters aged nine, seven and five by inserting his finger into their private parts.
She said when she confronted him he got angry beat her up and inflicted injuries on her body (NAN).
