The police on Monday arraigned a 32-year-old man, Bello Ismaila, before an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court in Ekiti State for allegedly receiving stolen cows.
The prosecutor, Insp Johnson Okunade, told the court that the defendant on May 21, at about 5pm in Ogotun-Ekiti dishonesty received two stolen cows from one Abdulkadril Buba contrary to Section 343(1) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and his counsel, Mr Toyin Oluwole, urged the court to grant him bail.
The Magistrate, Mr A.O. Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000, with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to June 13. (NAN)
