The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 43-year-old man, Ibrahim Sule, before an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over alleged possession of Indian hemp.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant on July 6, in Ado-Ekiti, was found in possession weeds suspected to be hemp and other illicit drugs.
Counsel to the defendant, Mrs Adunni Olanipekun, urged the court to grant the defendant bail.

The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to September 19.
