A man, Fatai Olasunkanmi Bello, has been charged in a high court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, for allegedly parading himself as the Olokanle of Okanle, a community in Ifelodun LGA.
According to the charges, the defendant paraded himself as the baale and head of Okanle Kingdom without any approval from the governor or appointing authority thereby causing public disturbance.

The prosecution team was headed by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Barrister Ayoola Idowu Akande.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his counsel, Barrister O J David, moved an application for his bail.
Justice AbdulQuadir Sofiat Tokunbo admitted the defendant to bail and adjourned the case to January 17, 2024.
