A man, Okpenge Ogor, was on Wednesday charged in a Makurdi area court with forging a National Certificate in Education (NCE).
The prosecutor, Insp Veronica Shaagee, told the court that on July 4, one Mr Martin Ogbeche of the College of Education (COE), Oju, Benue State, reported on behalf of the management of the college that on December 13, 2021, Okpa Ijowu, Omachi Onaji and Okpenge Ogor conspired and forged an NCE certificate for one Okpa Ijowu.

She said during police investigation, the Ijowu and one Onaji Nathaniel were arrested and charged before an area court in Makurdi, while Okpenge Ogor who absconded had now been arrested.
The Magistrate, Mr Vershima Hwande, said since Ogor was ill, the court would admit him to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in the like sum and adjourned the case to December 12. (NAN)
The police command’s spokesman, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, confirmed the accident, saying the traffic warden was Isa Usman.
