The Ekiti State Police Command has charged a man, Oluwaseun Samson (33) in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti with obtaining money by pretense.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the suspect conspired with someone (at large) and fraudulently obtained N74m from one Bright Omonkhob.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Olumide Olowolafe, urged the court to grant bail to his client, but the prosecutor objected to the bail application, informing the court that he would mismanage the bail term.

He said the police used about six months to track and arrest him in Lagos, noting that even in Lagos he was jumping from one location to another.

The Magistrate, A. O. Owoleso, granted bail in the sum of N4m and two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to August 6.
