Man beats wife, injures 3-month-old son’s hand

A 42-year-old man, Austin Anthony, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court for assaulting his wife and causing fracture on the hand of his three-month-old baby.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the offences were committed on September 8, at the defendant’s residence at Ipaja, Lagos.

Akeem said that a fight had ensued between the defendant and his wife, Ifeyinwa, over his failure to discharge his responsibility as husband and father.
