When our reporter visited Dwakoro on Tuesday, Hassana, Isah’s mother, said her husband was severely beaten by Isah, their first child.
She explained that, “My husband had been advising him to quit moving with bad friends for years now. So, during their last argument on Monday evening, he raised his hands and hit his father several times and pushed him to the floor. I raised alarm and he fled.
“This had not happened before. Although he always talked back to his father. His father threatened to disown him several times.
“My husband is in the hospital. I thank God he’s recuperating well.”
Muhammed’s second son, Hassan, while recounting how his brother, with some youths, had been wreaking havoc in the area, said the matter had been reported to the appropriate authorities.
He said, “Just last week, Isah, alongside his friends, beat up a lady and collected her phone and other belongings. He has been a nuisance in the family. I will personally make sure he doesn’t go unpunished.”
