A Kano State sharia court sitting in Gama, Nasarawa LGA, has sentenced one Aminu Adamu Fagge to six months in prison and 10 strokes of the cane for destroying political posters of a gubernatorial candidate.
Earlier, Fagge was arraigned before the court for using a cutlass to destroy political posters and signboards bearing pictures of a gubernatorial candidate and a House of Representatives contestant of a political party.

When the prosecutor, Aliyul Abideen, read the charges against Fagge, he pleaded guilty.
