Man arrested with 930 rounds of AK-47 ammunition

The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Anthony Godday with 930 rounds of AK-47 ammunition.

The spokesman of the command, SP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the suspect was arrested by the anti-crime patrol team of the Aboh Division.

He said the operatives intercepted a motorcycle conveying two occupants carrying a bag, and that the occupants were subjected to a routine search, but that while the search was ongoing, one of them escaped.

He further said, “The other suspect, Anthony Godday, was immediately arrested and investigation is ongoing.”
