Again, policemen from the Ojo Division of the Lagos State police command have arrested a 29-year-old Nura Abilya with 40 parcels of Arezonna inside the Alaba International Market.
The suspect was allegedly preparing the illicit substance for distribution when he was arrested.
A police source alleged that the drug was smuggled into Nigeria from Ghana via the waterways.
Recall that Daily Trust had reported the arrest of a 26-year-old Okechukwu Michael with 407 parcels of Arezonna in the Ojo area of Lagos.

The police said that both Nura and Ikechukwu were members of a drug syndicate based at Ojo.
The Lagos State police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said Nura was arrested based on credible information about the movement of illicit drugs on June 19, 2024 around 1.45pm.
Hundeyin said that based on the strength of the information, a patrol team from Ojo quickly visited the scene, where Nura Bilya, 29, was arrested.
“An exhibit was recovered and taken to the station and preliminary investigation ongoing,” he said.
