Detectives from the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Ayodeji Busarj over the alleged murder of his younger brother which occurred on August 23, 2024, in the Iba New Site area in Ojo LGA.
It was learnt that the victim went to visit one of his friends in the area when his elder brother engaged him in a shouting match.
Sources said that during the argument, the suspect pushed his younger brother down and that he became unconscious.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the incident.

Hundeyin said: “Around 11pm of August 23, one Ayodeji Busari, of Iba, pushed his younger brother, who came from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to visit his friend. Ayodeji Busari pushed the deceased who incidentally hit his head on a pavement during a fight.
“The victim became unconscious and was rushed to Igando General Hospital but was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty. The body has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba, for autopsy.”
