A 35-year-old man, Kamalideen Raji, is being detained at the homicide unit of the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, for allegedly stabbing the manager of a lottery centre in the Badagry area of the state to death.
The suspect was arrested by detectives from Area K Command, Morogbo, but was later transferred to the SCID on the orders of the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi.

The suspect was alleged to have stabbed the deceased twice in the neck over a debt.
It was learnt that the suspect bolted away after he realized what had happened.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement confirming the incident, said the suspect was arrested around 11.30am on Tuesday in his hideout.
“The suspect stabbed his victim, a manager of a lottery centre, twice in the neck over a disagreement about debts.
“The victim was rushed to the Badagry General Hospital for medical attention but later gave up the ghost,” he said.
Hundeyin stated that the Commissioner of Police had directed that the case be transferred to the SCID for further investigation and prosecution.
