The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Diwenrenenagha who allegedly stabbed three policemen.
The command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday, alleged that the suspect stabbed the officers with a yet-to-be identified object during an altercation in Warri.
He said a full investigation had commenced to ascertain the cause of the altercation between the suspect and subsequent attack on the officers.
He urged members of the public to disregard the report making the rounds in some sections of the media that “the victim allegedly stabbed by policemen in Delta battles for life.”

Edafe alleged that the suspect stabbed a police officer on his head at a hotel in the barracks opposite the Warri Area Command.
He said the suspect who was drunk at the time of the altercation also fought with policemen at the police station during his arrest where two other officers sustained injuries.
He, however, assured that if the officers concerned were found culpable they would be decisively dealt with in accordance with extant laws and regulations.
