A 45-year-old man, Wawe Nokomari, has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly shooting his friend, Ham Musa, on November 7, in Jabi community in Shelleng LGA.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, spokesperson of the command, explained that the accused, a father of eight, was under the influence of a local beer, burkutu, when he opened fire on his friend while they were working on a rice farm following a misunderstanding.
It was learnt that the suspect borrowed the weapon used to shoot his friend from a vigilante.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment and is said to be in a stable condition.
