Men of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a man, Godstime Promise, for allegedly stealing N850,000 from a POS operator, Iyebor Glorial, at gunpoint in Uromi in Esan Central LGA.
The state’s police spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the suspect was a member of a three-man robbery gang using a motorcycle to operate in the area.

He explained that the hoodlums operating with a motorcycle went to a POS stand belonging to one Iyebor Gloria on Tazona Road with the pretense of carrying out a financial transaction with her, and that in the process one of them brought out a pistol, robbed the victim of N850,000 and some ATM cards, with two of the hoodlums escaping with the items, but that the one with the firearm, Godstime Promise, was apprehended.
