The police in Lagos State have arrested a man, Olamilekan Morekeji, for allegedly beating up his ex-wife, Mary Ololuwa, and inflicting her with grievous injuries with a stone in the Ikorodu area.
Morekeji was said to have accosted her while on her way to the market, asked her questions and got infuriated by her response.
The command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred on Monday, January 25, 2024 and that the victim who was drenched in her own blood was brought to the station by people who rescued her from the grip of the estranged husband.
He explained that, “The lady reported at the station that around 2pm on Monday while she was going to her shop located around Bako Estate, her ex-husband, Olamilekan Morekeji, stopped her and inquired about their children. She said her response got him angry, hence that he gave her the beating of her life.”

Hundeyin added that the woman was rushed to a hospital.
