A middle-aged man, Patrick Imoh, has been arrested for allegedly beating his three-year-old daughter, Favour Imoh, to death at Lekki area of Lagos.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, December 27, 2020, threw the entire Jakande Estate community into mourning.
It was learnt that the man allegedly flogged his daughter with a wire over her perpetual habit of defecating and urinating on the floor until she fainted and later died.
It was gathered that the frequent quarrels between the suspect and the deceased mother forced her to move out of the house, leaving behind the deceased in the care of a second wife.
Before the suspect was taken to Jakande Police Station, he told our correspondent that the ugly incident still occurred to him as misery as he felt that he never meant to kill his daughter.
