A 21-year-old trader, Abubakar Aliyu, was on Monday docked in a Dei-Dei Grade I Area Court, Shagari Quarters, Abuja, for allegedly attempting to steal his neighbours goat worth N25, 000.
The Police charged Aliyu, who resides in Panteka, Abuja, with theft.

The Prosecution Counsel, Chinedu Ogada, alleged that the defendant went to the complainant’s compound, situated at Apea way Dei-dei Abuja, and tried to steal the complainant’s goat, valued at N25, 000.
According to him, the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 288 of the Penal Code Law.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Presiding Judge, Sulyman Ola, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum N100, 000, with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to June 28, for hearing. (NAN)
