A fish pond worker in Osogbo, Abiodun Olasunkanmi, has been arraigned at a magistrate court for allegedly stealing catfish worth N800,000.

Police prosecutor, Mr Abiodun Fagboyinbo, told the court that the 23-year-old worker committed the offence on April 25, 2018 at a fish pond located at Rinsayo, Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Inspector Fagboyinbo said the accused stole a large quantity of the catfish from the fish pond, which he said belongs to Mrs Akinola Olubunmi.

Olasunkanmi, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence against him and the presiding magistrate, A.O. Oloyede, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000, with two sureties.
