A man, Abdullahi Jubril, alias Bado, has been arraigned for inflicting machete wounds and robbing a commercial motorcyclist in Lafiagi LGA of Kwara State.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Bado attacked his victim, Idris Babamikuru, after he alighted from his Okada which he had boarded to a hotel.

The FIR reads in part: “Bado asked the Okada man to stop and he removed a cutlass he had concealed and inflicted injuries on the victim who became unconscious. He stole his Bajaj motorcycle and POP 2 Tecno phone valued at N22,000.
“He confessed that it was one Mohammed Yunusa that sent him to attack the victim because he was rude to him.” The prosecutor, Gbenga Ayeni, told the court that Yunusa also confessed that he sent Bado to deal with the victim because he was rude to him.
Ayeni urged the court to remand the suspect, a prayer which the defence counsel, Barr Rufus, objected.
The Magistrate, Isah Abubakri, ordered the remand of the suspect and adjourned to November 23, 2022.
