Man abducted in Jigawa dumped near pond

A man at Maigatarin Bawan Allah village in Garki LGA of Jigawa State who was reported abducted has been found unconscious by a pond along Gumel-Babura road in Sule Tankarkar LGA.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state’s spokesman of the the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamu Shehu, on Sunday.

He said the victim, Malam B. Dauda, after regaining consciousness, narrated that he was kidnapped on October 12, on Dutse-Kiyawa road after he withdrew N800,000 from his bank in Dutse.

He explained that before he was kidnapped, while he trying to board a commercial motorcycle on his way to the motor park, a taxi pulled over and the driver asked for his destination and that he told him that he was travelling Garki and the driver asked him to board the taxi as he was also going the same way.

He said he boarded the taxi which already had other people in it and that from there he lost contact with reality.
