Man abducted in Abuja, rescued in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has said a man identified as AbdulGaniyu Afolabi who was  kidnapped in Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)  have  been rescued at Ajaokuta area of Kogi State.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, disclosed this to City & Crime on Thursday in Lokoja.

He said the joint police-military patrol team rescued  Afolabi from the hands of his abductors at Ajaokuta area in an operation on Tuesday.

He said, “In a daring operation, on  February 20 by the joint police-military patrol team, one AbdulGaniyu Afolabi who was kidnapped at Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was rescued from the hands of his abductors at Ajaokuta area of the state.”

SP Aya added that  Afolabi hails from Ifo LGA of Ogun State and a staff of Dream Works Logistics, Lagos .

He said the victim had been  taken to  the  hospital in Lokoja for attention.
