The Chairman of the vigilantes, Doubiye Alagba, said the suspect was arrested after he was identified and trailed by a victim he had stolen a phone from last week on the Alamieyeseigha Expressway in Yenagoa.
He said the suspect had already confessed to the crime and disclosed that he had been in the business of pickpocketing for months after learning the illegal “business” from one Keme who escaped from the Keke before Godwin’s arrest.
He said four phones and some cash were recovered from him.
City & Crime learnt that the suspect has since been handed over to the Ekeki Division of the state police command for further investigation.
