A 28-year-old man, Dashe Nantip, has been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti chief magistrates’ court over alleged stealing of a motorcycle.
Police prosecutor Inspector Caleb Leramo, told the court on Tuesday that the defendant committed the offence at about 8pm in Ado-Ekiti.

Inspector Leramo alleged that the defendant stole one Bajaj motorcycle valued at N320,000 belonging to one Abubakar Muritala.
He said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
The prosecutor asked the court for adjournment to enable him to study the case file and present his witnesses.
Counsel to the defendant, Mr Tunmise Elijah, urged the court to grant his client bail, with a promise that he would not jump bail.
The chief magistrate, Mrs Kehinde Awosika, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till April 4, for hearing.
